Great can cap for low to medium amp projects, especially tube rectified.

They work fine but required resizing the hole spacing from the old Mallorys. Also they measure 47/22/22/22

Excellent product, perfect for amp builders like myself! Small footprint, low ESR. No, don't try to replace your can cap in that '67 Prince with this unless you don't mind breaking the vintage code of conduct, but if you design and build cool, great sounding amps then check this one out.

I've used JJ can caps to save expense in projects in the past, this last one was doing an EICO ST70. If I had to do it again, I'd chose to avoid the JJ 40/20/20/20. Its leads are so broadly spaced it made it a real PITA to fit this can. Really braindead design, could've been less of a cluster if they'd used their head when it came to the lead spacing.

great product!

These capacitors are a great deal. They are inexpensive, take up little room, handle plenty of voltage and are well made. The uf values are good for most of my amp projects, too. Definitely five star value.

This is a great cap for small tube amps. The 500V rating gives plenty of headroom for the startup surge of amps that operate in the 300-350V B+ range. A bit larger in diameter than most multi-cans, but can squeeze into most rebuilds with the 1.5" clamp and sometimes drilling one extra #6 or M3 screw hole to mount the clamp. I like to use this cap on EL84 builds. It takes up less than half of the flat space and simplifies wiring compared to individual caps that I used to use, and has yet to disappoint. Also note the 160mA and 80mA i(ac) ratings per section, which should be more than enough for anything using EL84 or 6V6. As a bonus, the price is tough to beat for the functionality. I recommend you give one a try if you are (re)building a <12 Watt amp.
