Bought to replace the can-cap that feeds the preamp/phase splitter of an Ampeg B25B and it fit the bill perfectly. It looks to the be the same diameter as the original but I just secured it inside the chassis and re-routed the leads.

I don't doubt the reviewer below, but FWIW I had no trouble getting solder to stick.

The terminals on these caps are coated with something - could not get solder to stick to them even with plenty of heat and flux. I had to file the coating off of each terminal, to get solder to flow onto them.

Used lots of these in a wide variety of radios and amplifiers over several years - no problems so far.

Used these in several amps now, a 1982 Marshall Model 2000 (which took 8 of them) plus a 80's Laney AOR50, and a !974 Orange OR120 to replace its two 100uf can caps. all had great results so far and sound better than they ever did, although I don't know how much caps in the power supply actually effect tone, except they all seem to have a bit more balls!

I've used these capacitors on some fresh builds and also for repair/freshening work on old Marshall amps. While they are physically smaller(shorter) than the Daly or LCR clamp mount capacitors they seem to work just as well and so far for me they have been very reliable. Their black color can also be an asset when they are used where they will be seen such as in an hifi amp.

These JJ can caps are my go-to item for amp builds. I've used the 50+50 in a restoration of a Magnavox console amp, the 100+100 in a scratch-build of the same Magnavox circuit with a solid-state rectifier, and 2x of the 350 in a guitar amp with a voltage-doubler in the power supply. They always test right on spec, look great, and are a superb value.
