I purchased (1) 22-ufd 450V and (2) 10-ufd 450V electrolytic capacitors for a recent 5F1 Tweed Champ build. I chose these increased values over the standard 16-ufd, 8-ufd, 8-ufd values for better AC filtering and lower noise/hum. Quality is very good and they work perfectly in my build. Outstanding value for the price. Highly recommended and would buy again for future tube amp projects.

4 stars for a cap that fits physical dimensions that a 4uF 450 volt Sprague Atom will not fit into for 4.7 uF but only four stars because for half the price I can install a radial cap that has a higher temperature rating, handles more ripple current and lasts 2-6x longer. These are decent axial caps but axial caps come at premium prices nowadays. You pay 2-15x more for 70% less. These caps will work just fine, but a 12,000 hour lifespan versus a 2000 hour lifespan? If this fits the physical space and radial cap leads won't reach or you are going for cosmetics these are more than adequately sufficient replacement parts. They show the same parameters as Taiwanese made caps I have purchased elsewhere. I use a bench LCR that tests from 10Hz to 100KHz using test voltages from 1mV to 1500mV and can be externally biased to test with AC voltages up to 50 volts. Leakage is tested on a 0-10,000 DC volt power supply. (Actually a DC supply ranging from 0-500 VDC up to a monster 10KV transmitter supply run through a General Radio Variac monitored with a 15KV voltmeter. DC leakage is read on a 1000 milliammeter, 1000 millivoltmeter and then read on 1000 microampere and 1000 microvolt meter. The LCR won't pass anything that leaks more than 1 volt or 1 amp. Caps are tested for Capacitance @ 10Hz to 20,000 Hz except for filter caps which are tested at 50Hz-120 Hz. They are also tested for dissipation, Q, impedance, and ESR.

I’m so very glad that antique electronic supplies has these 450 V capacitors because I work with vacuum tube equipment and you need 450 V capacitors for vacuum tube power supplies.
