Adopted primarily in the Vibrolux® and Vibroverb® amps of the Brownface and Blackface era, the C10Q is a very easy to drive speaker that breaks up nicely with straightforward biting character. It was also very common in many Silvertone® and Valco® amps. It loves the 2x10 configuration and the floating baffles.

Guitarist Description: Straightforward tone with mid-frequency bite. Presented with overdrive distortion, it can sound edgy.

Sounds vintage Fender. Jensen says the highs are edgy when over driven. If true, they can be tamed with tone stack or guitar settings. I use the Boss MT-2 at unity gain since Fender amps do not like to be over driven. The MT-2 has plenty of EQ settings to dial in tone.
