The 6SC7 is a high-mu twin triode designed primarily for use as an AF voltage amplifier. Featuring a special shielding arrangement to reduce hum, the tube is well suited for low-level audio amplifier service.

Purchased a pair of these vintage metal tubes. Not so sure they're genuine "NOS" but do test as new, with one tube passes minimum transconductance testing as new and the other unusually very strong on Hickok 957c tester. Both halves of triodes well matched upon both tubes. I did have much trouble with sensitivity and suceptability to high amount of microphonics and ringing when used in a combo guitar amp. Perhaps metal envelopes arent the best choice in combo style amp?
