The JJ Electronic E34L adds more power to a standard EL34 due to its higher grid voltage rating. This increase gives the tube more headroom and a tighter response on the low end. The wide frequency response of this tube offers excellent harmonics that work in a variety of genres ranging from the cleanest cleans to rich and aggressive breakup.

I just installed a pair in my EVH EL 34 50 watt head. The amp is way louder. The head is alive and well.

Just replaced the EL-34's in my Dynakit ST-70 Amp with E34L (JJ's) Amp is now louder, and SOUND IS AWESOME ! Love J.J.'s, they are the best !

LAME! The old Czechoslovakian Tesla tubes had special tubes that used black light tinted glass for making their tubes a truly cool groovy very deep dark violet blue color, and if you were super lucky you could also get rich a deep dark read heat lamp/chicken coop tinted glass too, from Tesla. Those colors were so dark and rich looking, but these tubes are just really poor knockoffs, with a slightly blue tinted glass. If JJ would just buy some UV lamp cullet glass & get the right coloring to give these that black light UV lamp tint, they could charge $20 extra, and I'd pay it. Lately their glass has been so poorly annealed, why not just buy a boat load of black light glass cullet from China? I have had over a dozen JJs break at the base, with a circular crack in the glass, indicative that they are not annealing the glass properly. The heat makes it crack. I suspect they may be using Chinese glass now anyway, rather than their European glass, and it needs a different lehr treatment. I am surprised that Sino Shuguang hasn't made some hi fi tubes from black light glass or chicken coop glass.

I like the JJ EL34L's, and the blue glass is cool. :) I build amps, so I order periodically from you guys and will continue to do so.
