The JJ Electronic ECC99 is a noval based dual triode. This tube features a rugged construction and is also available with gold pins. The ECC99 is typically used as a driver for power triodes in 2A3 and 300B amplifiers but can also be used as a power tube in small amps and headphone amps. This tube can also be a functional replacement for 5687, E182CC, 6840, and 6BL7 tubes. Note: Sockets on some of these types could have a different set-up.

Bought the gold pin version. Shipped quick and arrived well packaged and ready for use in my Lampizator Amber 3 DAC. Tube sounds good and hasn't shown signs of microphonics or any other issues thus far. Still burning it in, but happy with the performance thus far.
I got this to use as an output tube to replace the 12AU7 in my homebrew FireFly amp -- I guess it should be called a DragonFly now. Anyways, it provides the perfect balance of volume vs. gain in my little amp. The tube placement is as follows: 12AU7 preamp > 5751 boost (switchable) > ECC99 output power. Super clean w/ tele (no boost) and as dirty as you want with the 5751 switched on. Best sounding amp I've ever owned thanks to the ECC99!!
