The Radio in the Hudson Hornet is working again. I pilfered a really good 6V6 from it and put a Chinese one in it, but it is just an AM radio. Those old car radios were built like tanks too. Now I am pulling the preset knobs for some thorough ectro-cleaning, and some new tin plating. The rest of it is just aces! Unless it is a tube radio, I generally do NOT repair car radios. I did come by a crate of Western Electric 350Bs and 300Bs when I was offered some old motor gen set and mobile phones from a car buff. Why yes, I will take WECo tubes as payment.
