I have been using these tubes for the last 2 yrs,They sound pretty good..The main thing is Who you buy the tubes from..If you buy a Quad one tube will be bad and you will need to return..Out of the 3 quads I have bought I returned each one...Once you finally get a good pair or quad they last pretty good..Take it easy warming the tubes up,and how hard you play them They take about 10 hrs to set in..The Valve Art tube is bright with good headroom..If you are looking for "the brown sound" these are not the tube to get, there more for playing like The Who or Free.... Great Classic 1970's Marshall grind....If the tubes are bad you will know in a day or 2....So buy from a good tube store with No Hassle return..That is why I gave them a 4 out of 5.....
