Report Review for product Kit - Pine Board Wireless Transmitter

Loved building this and using it in school with my students to teach radio principles.

It is tricky to tune and would not work with my digital AM radio that only tunes multiples of 10 KHz. Worked fine with an old radio that had a real tuner. I generally use it with a little jumper clipped to the antenna lead as an antenna.

Also, as built, it played in a busy part of the AM broadcast spectrum. So I added a 220pf ceramic disc in parallel with C2 to push the carrier down spectrum to what was for me a quieter part of the band.

ALSO, you need to look up the spec on the P-C70-OSC to find its inductance, but the specsheet gives the pinout as if looking up, rather than as looking down (this made analyzing the circuit confusing until I figured that out)

As a final note, the schematic download here is much better for understanding than the schematic that comes in the instruction (plus the coil illustration makes more sense)

Thanks for such a fun and instructive kit!
