I like the "no load" effect for the pickups tone controls on my Stratocaster. There is a difference in the sound of the pickups when the "no load" pot removes the potentiometer resistance from the circuit. I wish they made these without the indent lock on the potentiometer. It is easy to fix this however but you have to take the potentiometer apart and use a flat head punch and a hammer to whack the indent out of the bottom of the potentiometer base. This is not for everyone but it can be done. I did this before I installed them and it is better. It twists just like a normal pot now.
