I got a matched pair of these tubes and they actually sound better to me than some more expensive brands. The glass envelope seems a bit thicker, too. It seems to help with heat dissipation which can be an issue with this tube. With my Fluke infrared tester, the previous tubes (a different brand) measured near 200 C which is about the limit for this tube. The JJ tube measures around 160 to 175 C. I will buy these again.
