I got these (in all of the available colors) to replace the stock knobs on an acoustic guitar pedal board. The originals had indicators that were all but invisible. To make things worse, they were very brightly backlit, rendering it impossible to see one's setting at a glance, even on a brightly lit stage. The skirts on these new knobs covered most of the backlighting without completely obscuring it and the indicators are much more visible. They made a good sounding unit much more useful in a real world situation. The measurements given on the website made it easy for me to make sure I was getting the right units and the multiple colors made easy identification of the various functions possible.
