Over the years, my main choice of power tubes has always been the TAD 6L6WGC. I think the reason is that TAD 6L6WGCs are long-lasting, rich in 2nd order harmonics, exceptionally quiet, possessing an abundance of clean headroom, and comparatively low cost compared to other NOS tubes. My current amp is a Brunetti 35W Singleman 1x12 combo, and although the stock tubes were Tung-Sol power tubes, the Tung-Sol tubes wore out sooner than my experience with TAD tubes, and for that reason, among others, my choice has been TAD 6L6WGC power tubes for all my amps that are 6L6-based.
