I have an Avatar 2X12 speaker cab that had 16 Ohm speakers wired in parallel so that I had an 8 Ohm cab. This jack now allows me to use the 2 speakers in 16 Ohm stereo or I can use the mono jack for an 8 Ohm cab. Connections to the speakers were quick and simple. Antique Electronic Supply has a similar jack plate for 2X12, 8 Ohm speakers. I have that one also. You may have to modify the cab to fit the jack plate but it's worth it!
