I searched for a replacement volume potentiometer for a Hartke A-70 bass amp and found this one that seemed identical with one exception. That exception was the length of the splined portion of the shaft. I took a chance and ordered two. They were in fact identical in every other way, and were undoubtedly made by the same manufacturer (even though no brand name appears on either the original or the replacements). I carefully trimmed the aluminum shaft down to the required length (to fit the knob and position it precisely). The end result is perfect, and I am very happy with the performance of the repaired amp.
