This socket is used by the Fender Hod Rod series, one of the only ones that don't mount flush. If your amplifier sound quality is intermittent, and a slight tap on the tube PCB has an effect, you might need new sockets, and these are the ones to get. They should last a long time unless you change the 6L6 tubes often.
