I have to say I'm impressed with the mid range of theses. I play a strat through a beefed up bandmaster reverb. The amp is now a combo, with a real 76 super reverb op transformer, Jupiter red caps, a 15 inch Jensen Neo. Mostly all nos pre tubes with a rca long gray plate d getter in v1 vibrato channel. I have had my ups and downs trying to get this amp to sound good, from a d130 speaker, different tube rolling, and finally with these 6l6's, the pre tubes, and a real important aspect a rca 5as4 rectifier, my plate voltage is still 450v, :( it is a joy to play, I find myself unable to put the guitar down. I don't even need any pedals as these sound great on 2, use your attack on the strings to get these spanking. I have nos 6l6 sylvania but those days are over. I have a few jem amps with all nos stuff but this amp is for playing. Thanks Tube Amp Doctor for a great user tube that is super fun to play! I will be stocking up.
