I bought two sextets of these for my SVTs after having decent luck with EHX and Tung Sol, the tonal difference between the two is stark, it's like it woke up the last 100 watts the amp was missing. I did have one that needed to be replaced immediately upon install due to redplating(they are still Chinese tubes after all) but AES corrected that very quickly and I had a replacement within a week. They biased solidly on both amps with no issue. They're solid, reliable, powerful, and about 95% of what the original 6550A is. It doesn't have the top end slickness of the original but if you need a 6550 that honestly meets 40 watt dissipation that will hold up on the road under fairly large load these are for you. I love them and will continue to buy them as long as they make them.
