I purchased this long version MOD tank to upgrade the short tank (8EB2C1B) in my 96 Fender Princeton Chorus so I could then use the original tank from the Princeton Chorus to replace a broken tank in my Fender Acoustasonic Jr. These MOD tanks sound amazing. I did need to solder in longer reverb cables in order to be able to use a long tank in a Princeton Chorus - but it was so worth the extra work. I love the lush sound of a long three spring medium decay tank. I also recommend mounting the tank in a bag when replacing or upgrading the reverb tank. I don’t know why mounting the tank in a bag makes it sound better – but it does.
