These tubes mechanically are similar to RCA black plate 6L6GC's. The base has TAD molded into the bottom. They don't match any of the Russian current production to my eyes, nor Sino branded Chinese. They sound very good in a Stromberg Carlson 17 tube receiver, and really punch out lows, midrange and high clearly and strongly. I compared to GE and Sylvania NOS 6L6GC's. To me, it is a toss up between TAD and Groove Tubes for the best current production, since Winged C is out of the glass tube market.
