Product Reviews
Fantastic reproduction of the original can cap in the fender champ. A little shorter but that helps if you have upgraded the speaker for fit. Overall great!
Excellent, so glad you carry this product + super fast shipping. Thx
Just installed in a Vibro Champ Haven’t completed project yet Everything up to now excellent regards to Logging in checking inventory ordering closing and shipping Cery pleasant experience.
Perfect replacement for Silverface Champ cap can. Very happy these are available.
I just installed this can onto a mid-'60s Gretsch 6159 and only needed to perform some minor canister ground tab
bending to make it fit into existing hole, as this one is not a skinny or tall as the original, nor does it match the old can's
values, but these filtering values will make the amp run better. Once I soldered it in with an old 200W iron, it sits solidly
on the chassis and really looks stock. There may have been just enough space on the chassis to use individual axials,
but this canister keeps it clean. Well done with these, guys! Gregg
As the original can capacitor on the 64 Fender champ I was working on had both 20uf sections drifting way off, I contemplated leaving the original cap in place as external decoration, while keeping the work iternal and hidden. this amp was in such good shape, I couldn't bring myself to drill a hole in the chassis to mount the caps solidly. I finally decided to buy a new replacement and was tottaly stoked with the CE Mfg 40/20/20 can cap. It, and the help of some new sprauge atoms made it sound great. yes, a little spendy, yet well worth it1
Works great! No more hum and it looks original.
Looks and functions as original in National HRO-60. Tested for capacitance and ESR before installation. Well within tolerance. (Original cap was 40-40 uF, the 2 20 uF sections paralled together equal 40 uF.)
Perfect match for my silverface Vibrochamp. Fast shipping!
I bought this to replace the original multi-section cap in my 1982 Fender Champ. This is an exact replacement in size and performance. You could accomplish the same thing with separate discrete caps for less money but why not spend a few more bucks and do it right?
