Exact replacement
This capacitor worked beautifully to replace the original in my Heathkit EA-3, 14 watt hifi amplifier. That had Heath part# 25-63 and the new part is remarkably similar, with the four sections being the same cap values except that the large one is increased modestly (40 vs 30uF). (Still well-within the rectifier spec.) All voltage ratings are substantially higher, which is good. Moreover, the pin locations and symbols matched, diameter and height were the same, as were the chassis mounting holes of the new phenolic insulator. I think the new twist-locks matched the old insulator slots but the old insulator cracked during cap removal, so I was glad that I had bought the new one offered with the cap. Very pleased that this was made in good 'ol USA and I'm happy to pay for that.
Good product; physically compatible with project.
Ce 40/20/20 capacitor was a replacement. It worked great no problems.
I used this CE brand cap for Fender Princeton and other similar amps. Perfect fit and, although more expensive than some options, there's not much chassis space in a Princeton = less cluttered than separate caps. Sounds great and provides extra punch for the first filter cap node.
Excellent
Great move on your part for getting the Mallory line and keeping these on the market. What would we do without them?
This is it for BF/SF Princetons and Princeton Reverbs...
Used three CE can capacitors for my Scott 340B restoration instead of individual caps. Made the job easier and cleaner. So far, very pleased with the performance.
I'm very happy that CE Mfgr is making these kinds of can capacitors so vintage audio equipment can be repaired & restored in its original form.
