Product Reviews
I have a Vox V847-A. The amount of modulation was kinda weak with the original pot and didn't improve after I replaced that with a $10 generic sealed audio taper pot. When that pot eventually got scratchy, I figured the effort to replace it made the Hot Potz II worth a try. Well, I was amazed at the improvement! The tone is just right and the range truly seems wider. It sounds articulate before distortion and if I put it last in the chain it's almost too much wah. Before, I wouldn't bother using this wah without my tone knob dimed. Now, there's plenty of wah even with tone at 5. I bought this pedal at least 15 years ago and didn't use it much until now. I'm mad at Vox for wasting all my time. If they'd made this pot OEM and charged the extra $20, I'd have been thrilled fom the start and I think folks wouldn't dis the V847-A.
Looks OK. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
I'm really torn on the new Hot Potz II. The previous Hot Potz II design sounded Insanely good! This Hot Potz, sounds okay, but not as good as the previous design. These potz do not have the same sweep characteristics as it's predecessor. Like I said, it's good... But not as good.
I'm agree with another customer, it sounds better than original!
Quality appears better than original. Included directions made it a snap to install.
