Diameter listed is the inside diameter. The anode cap is used for making an electrical connection to vacuum tubes which have anode high voltage connection from the top. Its contact resistance is less than 0.01 ohm, insulation resisitance is over 10,000 Mohm. Life time is about 200 cycles.

If your tube requires an aluminum guard, these don't usually fit through the hole in the side of the gaurd, and wond go down far enough on the top.

Ceramic top caps worked great. Once soldered up they fit the tube top caps perfectly.

This is the second pair of these I have bought. The first pair works great on a pair of 807s I am running at nearly 800V on the plates. Just as importantly, the folks at AES are a pleasure to deal with. Shipping is always fast too. Buy from AES. You won't be disappointed.
