Can't go wrong with a Belton. Good prices on these and really fast shipping.

Outstanding tube sockets. These are my "go to" sockets for all my new tube builds. Highly recommended.

The real deal, the definition of a great octal socket.

I use Belton tube sockets in all my builds. They always work best for me.

These are good octal sockets, but I need to add a definite caveat:
The keyway slot on these is not aggresive at all. That means it is fairly EASY to insert a tube INCORRECTLY ALIGNED. Especially if you are using the 'bear claw' tube retainers in addition to the socket -- they make you to insert the tube rather forcefully to spread the bear claws, and you may not even notice that the tube is going in wrong. Usually the keyway on the tube will break off when this occurs, and of course, things are going to go wrong if you power up the amp with the tube improperly inserted. It would be great if Belton could tighten up the tolerances on the keyway hole to better enforce correct alignment. In the meantime BE CAREFUL!

These are the long-awaited improvement on the venerable Amphenol MIP octal. Micalex filled moulding and good plated spring pins make it a pleasure to use. Good on Belton!

Best 8 pin tube socket I have used in 50 years. Grips tube tightly and is quality molded. Would buy again anytime!

This is a pretty good socket, an improvement over the parts which came in the guitar amp kit I’m building, which came with...how did someone else put it...Pacific Rim junk. I like the socket metal parts are sturdy, and take solder well. Not too pricy, and these should hold up well. Not five star rated, the pin identification numbers are really small, or maybe my retiree eyes are really tired, don’t know which.
