These are great pots; an excellent choice for use in an amp that you'd like a slightly less aggressive taper for the volume pot.
Disappointed. I've used a few of these as an "upgrade" from the standard pots with good results, however, I built a rather nice single ended guitar amp with 1 MegOhm master volume and gain controls and both of them are scratchy and will have to be replaced at my expense.
Sturdy pot, but hard to solder the casing. I bend down the tab, and push on a female spade connector to use as an easy-to-solder ground.
Great part.I have usually been happy with CTS pots in my tube amp builds -and those are excellent pots, but when I used PEC pots I was blown away.I wanst considering that the precision pots are made like the old conductive element pots used in RCA equipment in the old days.They are better shielded and better insulated and super quiet and introduce no sound artifacts.the ultimate for audio.
