I used this switch on my Tweed Vibrolux amp build. The output transformer has 4 ohm, 8 ohm and 16 ohm secondary taps. I mounted it on the plywood back cover of the chassis next to the internal speaker jack. It was very easy to install. I have an external speaker jack wired in parallel with the internal speaker jack. This switch allows me to set the correct output load for the internal speaker with an external speaker or internal speaker only.
Bought this hoping it would be a direct replacement for 1978 JMP 100. It did not. The exterior side of the switch is exactly the same size as the existing old style one. Had it been a few mm bigger it would have worked. As far as the switch it’s nice will use in a future build.
I purchased this rotary impedance selector switch to replace the broken switch in my Rivera amplifier. It's an exact replacement. Luckily there's adequate wire length available to pull the leads through the switch hole and do the soldering of the connections outside the chassis. New switch works perfectly.
