An Isolation Power Transformer for isolating equipment from direct connection to the power line. The transformer is constructed with non-concentrically wound coils. The primary and secondary are wound on separate arbors, then assembled on a laminate core side-by-side separated by insulation. This prevents electrical connection, under normal or overload conditions, between the primary and secondary windings.

Not a true 1:1 isolation. With a 120VAC input the output was 133V. This created some issues with the three tube "widowmaker" amplifier as both the B+ and filament voltage were too high.

Used this to build an isolation transformer box to improve safety when working on an antique "hot chassis" 5-tube Crosley radio. Antique Electronic Supply shipped it fast and accurately. Great service as always.

Great price on a Heavy Duty Isolation Transformer. Using it to restore a "Hot Chassis" Fanon ST-5, 12AV6,12AX7, 50C5 (X2) Amplifier. Will use Primary as Secondary, thereby utilizing one 115V Primary for Filaments, and the other 115V Primary for the HV Circuits. The 115V AC will feed into the Secondary. Amp will be used for 5 Watt Guitar Amp.
