I’m using this tube in a Schiit Vali +2 that is both a headphone amp, and a preamp. I use a digital front end (mac Mini), but everything downstream-dac, preamp, amp is tube. This tube has some personality. Very tube-like in an old school amp kind of way. It’s a virtual tossup to roll with this puppy versus the electro-harmonix 6CG7, which has more bloom and not as controlled a sound. I bought the EH from Antique Electronic Supply as well. Both tubes sound terrific in my rig.
