PCB - Charge Pump, -9V from +9V, Screw Mount
Screw mounted charge pump PCB for positive ground effects. This small PCB provides -9V when used with a standard +9V power supply. This is a great option for positive ground effects such as vintage fuzz pedals. The PCB has a low profile design and is a simple addition to any build using a standoff to mount the board.
This board is compatible with the MAX1044, TC1044S, TC7660S, and LT1054 charge pump ICs. In addition to the charge pump IC, three 5mm diameter electrolytic capacitors of 10uF or greater are required. We recommend the following:
1x P-QTC7660
1x C-ETR47-25 (package of 5)
Note that there is a solder jumper on the back that must be soldered when using MAX1044, TC7660S, or TC1044S charge pumps. It should be left unsoldered if using an LT1054.
On MAX1044, TC7660S, and TC1044S charge pumps, this connection boosts the frequency of the internal oscillator to put it outside of the audio frequency. Those charge pumps will work with the jumper unsoldered, but the low frequency of the internal oscillator may result in audible noise.
