Build - Pedal Project: LPB-1
The Electro-Harmonix LPB-1 is a classic boost circuit. It is a very barebones boost based around a silicon transistor. Its low parts count makes it a great project for inexperienced builders, and also makes it a good candidate for turret board builds in smaller enclosures like a 1590B. LPB-1 can be used to drive your tube amp into breakup, and it is a favorite to boost the input of a big muff for even more saturation.
See Figure 2 in our Guitar Pedal Footswitch and Jack Wiring article for the recommended footswitch and I/O wiring.
