Speaker - Jensen® Jets, 12", Tornado Classic, 100W
The Tornado 100 is the first Jensen Jet speaker loaded with the 2nd Generation Neodymium magnet design that has since been extended to the Tornado Stealth line. The Tornado speakers are voiced similarly to AlNiCo speakers, unlocking their full tone potential. The Tornado 100 is an evenly-balanced speaker: clear, smooth, and well-defined with a solid, powerful bass range. Excellent dynamic range and headroom make the Tornado Classic 100 eminently versatile, from clean to crunch and lead tones. It is designed to suit open back, closed back, and ported cabinets.
Guitarist Description: Crystal clear, clean tones, accented by shimmering highs with each note sounding tight and well-defined. When presented with overdrive distortion, the notes remain well-defined with lots of bite.

I converted my late 60's Twin Reverb to use a single 12" by making a custom baffle. I used a vintage Altec 417 for many years and others. I ordered this speaker and have been very happy with it. It has a very smooth, "Fendery" sound with good bass, mids, and highs; very balanced. I mainly play clean with a variety of guitars and they all sound good through it. I sometimes use a vintage Ibanez Tube Screamer and that sounds great too.
I installed a pair of these in my 1970 Fender Twin to replace the original JBL D120F's that were in there. The tone of these is great. Most would call me crazy for swapping the JBL's out, but they add 30 lbs. the amp just on their own and I'm gigging weekly with my Twin so I was looking for something that kept the great tone, but lightened the amp up. With the Jensens installed, the weight of the amp went from 82 lbs down to around 60 lbs. with the Jensens. A huge weight loss to say the least. Worth every penny for the tone and the light weight! The have all the sparkle and chime with tight low end you could hope for.
