These tubes will not fit in McIntosh units in locations that use shields. They are too fat -- the shield won't fit over them. Found this out the hard way in a MX110. Tube dimensions should be published on this website.

Stellar service provided by Antique Electronic Supply, as always, made many orders but my first review.
This pre tube, Mullard 12ax7, is one of the finest on the market. Have half a dozen spread around various Marshalls.
They run beautifully in my JCM900 SL-X, JCM800 SC20H, 74' Superlead especially, Studio Vintage SV20H, Jubilee 2555X,
Jubilee 2525H, Class 5 combo loves'em too! Also running them with the Mullard EL34, JJEL34ll, JJEL34L,
Tung-Sol EL34B, and EH EL34 and EH 6AC7, these have all been excellent power tubes for me. Throw in a few other new pre tubes like, JJ803, JJecc83s, EH 12ax7gold, EH 7025, Tung-Sol 12ax7gold, all work perfectly with my Marshalls, and are on par, in my experience, with my vintage NOS collection, pre60' RCA, Raytheon and GE, 70' Lorenz, RFT, EI, GE etc. Will be ordering again soon, especially power tubes, keep them fresh people, and your amp will love you back!

Cheers Konabud,

This is my go to 12ax7 for vintage Fisher and Scott restorations. Wide open soundstage and sonically flat response. NOS tubes are too expensive, and the sonic differences are marginal at best. A good tube should be neutral, and for me these tubes deliver on that. I will say that the bottle is a bit larger than a vintage RCA or Telefunken, requiring slide on tube shields to be expanded a bit. Otherwise I have thousands of hours of run time, with zero issues so far.

Big improvement for my Hiwatt Custom Little D. Gets closer to DG sound.

This has become my goto 12AX7 for vintage Fisher integrated restorations. Solid performer across the audio spectrum, and so far no reliability issues.

I always prefer this one for the first gain stage of guitar amplifier of any kind, Fender or Marshall or whatever it is. And can get good satisfaction from my customers as always. I don't put it for the later gain stage though.

Bought these to use as preamp tubes in a Peavy VMP-2 Mic Pre. They sound great! Super warm and full range.
