Hi,
Is this a product I would use , for example , in a guitar combo amp to defeat the internal speaker and run the output to an extension cabinet?

This is an input jack that is used to prevent external noise when you plug a guitar cable into it.
Hi, this will work for that. It will mute the internal amp by rerouting the signal
