A Fender repair technician mentioned that it is worth buying a NOS 5Y3 rectifier for a few reasons. They last for many years, they can take greater capacitance for the first node (over 20uf for decades), and they do not have such high voltages unlike modern 5Y3s.
In the past the JJ 5Y3s were not very reliable or perhaps it was a batch I got. So, I decided to purchase a few 5Y3 RCAs to put into my Tweed 5F1 Champ and Deluxe 5E3 builds and know these will work for years.
The tubes were shipped quickly and were nicely packaged protecting them from any damage. That is the excellent service you can expect from this supplier.
