Product Reviews
Same brand and type of tube as others sell for a more reasonable price than other companies
Bought four of these new. Tested them on my TV-7, which incidentally was bought and calibrated by Antique Electronic supply, and they tested the bare minimum and took a lot of warm up time to get to that. Not very pleased.
Edgy and harsh compared to a real RCA or Philips 6973. They will settle down a little with age, but with these being the only 6973 on the market, I see the typical New Sensor, "We are the only one who makes one now, so we don't care how it sounds, or if it sucks" attitude I saw with their horrible Sovtek 6EU7s. New Sensor managed to remove all the magic from a magical valve and they replaced it with this. It will get your amp up and working, but it won't have the tone its supposed to have. You can revoice and get the amp a little better, but I would rather just go with a JJ EL844, and less power. These are an insult to Maggies & Valcos alike.
