The 6AS7G is a high current, twin power triode widely used in electronically regulated power supplies. The high perveance of this tube permits it to pass large currents at low plate voltages, thus providing for efficient series regulation. Shouldered glass (ST-16) envelope.

I wasn't very happy with the one I got. Biggest problem is that the tube exhibits noise that none of my other 6as7 types do. The tube itself was more dusty/dirty than I expect in a retail NOS tube. Cosmetically, the shoulder shape is lovely, but the elements inside are at a bit of an odd angle within the glass envelope so it looks like it's leaning.
