The 6D6 is a triple grid variable MU amplifier. It is suitable for use with AVC in RF and IF amplifiers as it minimizes cross modulation. With the exception of capacitances and heater ratings, is electrical characteristics are identical with those of the 6U7G and the 58.
Also known by US military identifier VT-69.

Ordered two vintage 6D6 tubes for a restoration project of a Zenith 807. i received them in a reasonable time and they were well packed. Both tubes were in individual boxes and I installed one of them and it worked pefectly.
these have the same pin-out as type 78 and can be used in most rf circuits employing them offering a modest boost in gain over type 78, especially in trf receivers.
