Does this kit contain the 1/4 nut driver used to align older Philco sets?
Asked by Anonymous on October 24th, 2016.
Hello this kit comes with an 8282 Zenith type Hex/Screwdriver and a 9304 Hex screwdriver. Both of these wrenches look like a flat head screwdriver with a 1/4" driver tip.

I need something non-ferrous to adjust the core in a coil - a 3/32 Allen wrench fits. Does this kit have it?
Asked by Anonymous on November 30th, 2018.
According to the manufacturer: "The 8606 is a 5-3/32-inch Hex Special Tip Slug made of Delrin."

Is a great product
Very good set also included hard to find tool for Zenith IF coils.
Would recommend.
Anybody that is poking around in ANY amp, radio, TV set, piece of test gear, etc. NEEDS THIS SET as a minimum requirement. Delrin is a fantastically tough and resilient plastic that will NOT get brittle like the old Nylon screwdrivers, and these are BRAND NEW tools. DO NOT GO POKING AROUND IN THAT DUMBLE WITH SCREWDRIVER! Us the nylon screw type pot adjuster. DO NOT TRY TO PEAK THAT TRANSMITTER WITH METAL BLADE SCREWDRIVER! Use the Delrin tools! You are going screw something up, blow something up, get hurt, die or some combination of the aforementioned bad stuff I just mentioned. No, you probably won't use those hex wrenches to turn iron or ferrite cores to tune a tank circuit, but they do have little screwdriver blade for turning trim pots, and $8 is darn good insurance policy!
This looks like a pretty good kit. I needed a new one after moving and loss of my old alignment tools. I also need one to fit the wide slotted 3/4" 455 kHz IF transformers in Hallicrafters receivers. It's risky to use a metal screwdriver on these as the slug could crack easily.
My Alignment Tools arrived as described on your webpage. I'm very satisfied.
