I haven't starting building the kit yet, but I did inspect it and all the components are top notch. The chassis is very sturdy unlike other amp kits . The instructions are great weather a beginner or experienced builder. I purchased this to be used as my main gigging amp due to the age of my old Bassman and value. With all the options available I might be tempted to vary from my original idea of building a smaller lighter Bassman style amp. I can't wait to start but customers guitars come first, then I can build my dream amp. Get one and just go for it especially if you are looking for a boutique amp. Save money, learn something and have pride in what you built. P.S. I have a very bad back and can not lift or move heavy gear anymore and this is compact and will fit the bill from bedroom to stage.
