New capacitor works great!
No more hum in the sound.

The capacitor appeared to be an exact replacement for a power supply filter capacitor in an antique McIntosh MX110 stereo tuner and preamplifier. The capacitor attaches to the chassis by a mounting flange. Both the capacitor and the mounting flange were physically identical to the one being replaced. This exact fit made replacement easy. I tested the replacement unit, and all four of the partitions tested with a few extra microFarads over the 50 advertised. This extra capacity was a definite plus. I also noticed that the working voltage of the new unit was 350 Volts, whereas the unit being replaced had a working Voltage of only 200 Volts. I welcomed the extra voltage.

I am more than satisfied with the quality of the capacitor, and its being such a perfect replacement.

This CE Mfg. cap works well as a replacement for the original 80uF/80uF/60uF @ 300V filter cap as used in my Hallicrafters SX-130 receiver. I wired the replacement as a 100uF/50uF/50uF @ 350V and it sounds good with no 60 Hz hum (half wave silicon rectifier).

I was very delighted with this capacitor. It was a perfect replacement for the old Cornell Dobilier cap in my McIntosh MR 65B. Fit right into the slots for the old cap. Thanks

These were ideal to replace old capacitors in a voltage doubler circuit in a Fisher tube type amplifier. All sections were bridged together to develop 200uF value for each one. A cardboard sleeve was made to cover one to prevent shock hazard when handling the unit while it was on. Glad that you had these available!

Excellet capacitor, nice quality and detail. Very pleased with item and purchase. I would like to see more C&E multisection twist-lok types available. The power supply caps for the older Fisher tube type receivers and for the Mcintosh, 250mfd @ 250volt voltage doubler caps used in the MC240, mc40, mc75 etc. are two examples.
