The gold lettering rubs off while handling. Are these F&T caps or fake Chinese knock offs?

I like these caps much more than some at double the price. Great tone, there values always seem to be spot on! Unlike Sprague Atoms that tend to be higher.

The big size did not bother me in my tube application.

F&T electrolytic capacitors have proven to be the best available. Better than Spraque Atom and head and shoulders above Illinois capacitors. I was using Spragues until I had a couple fail on me. I have never had a bad F&T. Definitely a five star product.

I don't know if I am knowledgeable enough to give a bona-fide review of these capacitors, because I am just a hobbyist, but I will say this:

F&T has an excellent reputation, which is why I purchased them.

I haven't had any issues with them. But its only been a week ago I installed them in a Peavey Classic 30.
But I honestly don't expect any issues.

I have, however, purchased from Antique Electronic Supply several times over the past
3 years, and I think they are pretty wonderful!

Their service is prompt, they have a good selection of parts and of the three times I have purchased from them, I have only had one issue.

It was a simple mistake of sending one to many of one cap, and one to few of a different value.
But as soon as I mentioned the matter, they dropped a replacement cap in the mail and it was here in a couple of days.

So... I can assure you, I will be placing many future orders with them as I work through each of my amp, and guitar, projects.

Thanks guys!

Excellent capacitors. Pretty much the gold-standard today. Well-priced. A company with a very long track record and relied upon by many boutique amp manufacturers. My clients tend to opt for these even though there are less expensive caps available.

I have used hundreds of F&T capacitors over the years. They are excellent - never had a problem, always highest quality.

I used these for the first time. The gold ink totally wore off after handling these. I hope they aren't Chinese counterfeits.

I find these lytics excellent for vintage restorations. Nice quality feel and appearance and very consistent in terms of rated capacitance. No problems.
