Mod® Electronics electrolytic capacitors provide builders with quality capacitors that offer long-lasting performance at the highest degree. These capacitors are designed with tube amplifiers in mind; each capacitor is rated at 105°C. This temperature rating provides a highly-stable capacitance in any device, be it vacuum tube or solid state. The Mod® electrolytic capacitor line features capacitance values that are common in many vintage amplifiers but are not readily available today. Builders and techs can confidently use these capacitors to match the original specifications of their equipment.

I took on the task of trying to get an old 1964 Magnavox "Concert Hall" AM FM table top radio working again for a friend,,who was wishing to honor their Grandmother, whose house they had inherited and wish to have the old radio back and working as they remembered when they visited her long ago. She had taken the radio to a repair place,,,and they told her it wasn't fixable!! She asked if I would at least look at it, and make any kind of suggestion for it's utility in the old renovated home? I said I would see what I could come up with,,,even if I couldn't do anything about restoring the actual radio to working condition...(I was thinking about gutting the works and turning it into a nice wood antique mp3 player,,,or sonething like that?.?) I got to doing a little reading,,,and decided it was worth taking a little risk on trying to get the "Old Girl" working again! Even though I have never tried restoring an old radio like that before to get it to actual work,,,,From what I read and studied,,it would be worth trying a very common fail point on those older tube type radios...I decided to "recap" the main 3 level Can filter capacitor. I decided to replace the single 3 level old "can cap" with 3 separate new electrolytics. Two of the 3 were pretty common, and I found locally,,,but the 3rd one I could not find,,,until I went to your online store, "Antique Electronics" parts,,,and ordered the "Cap" with a little voltage upgrade to boot! To my surprize and delight after replacing the old 3 level can capacitor with the 3 separate ones,,,the "Old Lady" came back to life!!!! and the sounds of music came through it's 35 years of being silent, speaker!! My friend and her family were estatic!! They believed I had preformed a miracle,,,and plan to relocate the radio back to the place in the house that their Grandparents listened to the radio long ago!! Thank you for helping me make them so happy,,,and helping me complete a project I had no idea I could complete in such a wonderful way!!

These mod caps are not testing well. High ESR and not the same for multiple components of the same value. The spec sheets do not show impedance to compare for ESR values. No more for me please. Where are they made?

These capacitors worked just as expected. Customer service (Rob in particular) was great by phone. Delivery was quick and not expensive. Overall, GREAT!
