Nicely constructed chassis. The plastic covering will keep it in good shape until I get it drilled and ready for use in my amateur radio tube transmitter.

The Hammond aluminum chassis box is ideal for making your own vacuum tube amplifiers and power supplies. I have used them for years. They lend themselves to any modifications such as isolating high voltage components by cutting out a rectangle and installing a Plexiglass cage. Just lay out all the components you will be using and plan ahead where you will drill and cut. Don't try to pack components too close together in case you need to modify or replace a part; get a big enough box to give yourself plenty of room and make life easier. You won't find a better aluminum box anywhere.
Don't dismiss Hammond for their other products. Their transformers are under-rated and sound beautiful. They are a solid well-established company.

The chassis will be used for building a 5 tube shortwave superheterodyne receiver replicating a Grunow radio chassis from ebay.
