Hello, the D5 will have: 5% DeoxIT® D100L,
75% Odorless mineral spirits (CAS 64742-88-7),
20% DIFLUOROETHANE (CAS 75-37-6).

This inclusive straw top is absolutely terrible! IT LEAKS! Buy the regular can of DeOxit with the detachable red straw, and be sure to save all of your old tiny red spray can straws from CAIG, WD40, DeOxit, CRC, etc. WD40 got this type of top right, but WD40 WD40 watter dispersant has no business being used in a guitar or any other kind of amp. I haven't tried WD40's contact cleaner, yet. I only use the Caig DeOxit as a final cleaning & a non-dirt attracting lube treatment AFTER I have really flushed the pots & switches out well with something like Lectromotive , Chemtronics, GC or Big Bath electronic parts or contact cleaners. I REALLY DO LIKE CAIG's DeOxit as a final treatment, especially for pots, some switches and most rheostats. This can's dispenser is just terrible though! Caig DeOxit is much too good and way too expensive to waste like this!
Perfect Straw: the solution (that NOBODY wanted) in desperate search of a problem. The Perfect Straw "applicator" blows at least 80% of the product by the spray nozzle assembly and pools it in the rings at the top of the can. Unless you then carefully dump it into a bowl, and dab it on with Q-Tips, you are WASTING MOST of the (pricey) product you paid for. Couple that with the tendency of the whole dang spray head to just pop off randomly, and you get a notion of just what a PIECE OF WORK the Perfect Straw is. I WILL NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF THE PERFECT STRAW IS PART OF THE DEAL. Have I mentioned that I REALLY HATE IT?
D5, as always, is a great product. However, the perfect straw is the most defective dispensing mechanism I have ever encountered. You will loose over 90% of the product because there is no seal to the straw mechanism, it all just pours down the sides of the can instead of out the nozzle. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS, GET THE TRADITIONAL CAN!
Works great as an all in one cleaner and lubricant.

One cannot control the product flow as well as was possible with the original style applicator and it makes a mess by leaking product at the stray/can junction. I am looking for a solution. I would pay a little more for product in the old style can. Whomever at Caig made the decision to switch to the perfect straw should be fired.

I have been using Caig products for decades. The target of this review is the new "perfect straw" spray head. This debacle replaced the perfectly usable conventional spray head which came with a plastic straw that could be fitted or removed as needed. The new "perfect straw" is a PIECE OF JUNK, and leaks terribly, wasting product, or pops off altogether. I really wish they'd go back to the old proven spray head.
I have used it on my radio repair business on older pots, ("Caig fader lube" on sliders or pots with plastic), and on any contact/electrical connections that have a potential of being oxidized. In automotive I use it on connectors and fuse boxes, key slots, battery terminals, door switches.The perfect straw is no big deal. I wished this Deoxit were more easily available in automotive shops or hardware stores. It's quite expensive but it works very well.
It works fine but not happy with this nozzle at all. Miss the old type with L M H nozzle settings.
