Stripboard made with a phenolic substrate. Phenolic boards are found in many vintage electronics before the use of fiberglass became common. This stripboard features a 0.15” vintage spacing. This spacing is great for vintage-style builds and more easily accommodates axial capacitors and other larger sized vintage parts like resistors and transistors. The board has a 20x10 grid (10 strips) and easily fits into 1590BB style enclosures and larger vintage-style fuzz enclosures. Each strip is gold coated making soldering easier than most protoboards and also ensures a long shelf life. Features:

2N404A PNP germanium transistors. The 2N404A is used in many fuzz pedals along with other effects. The 2N404A is the same as the 2N404 but with a higher voltage rating. This transistor is in a TO-5 package with long leads commonly found on germanium transistors. For a lower voltage version of this transistor, see P-Q2N404.

The BC337 is a silicon general purpose NPN transistor in a TO-92 package. The BC337’s typical applications include signal processing, amplification, and switching. ½" panel mount DC jack with solder lugs. This jack is rear mounted which makes troubleshooting and repairs simpler since the jack does not need to be desoldered if the circuit needs to be removed from the enclosure. Round plastic with normally closed switch. For barrel plugs with a 5.5mm external diameter and 2.1mm internal diameter. Three solder lugs are available for tip, ring, and switch.

The shrink ratio on this tubing is 2 to 1, it is fungus resistant and non-corrosive. It is recommended for tightly sealing connectors, terminals, wire splices, and tool handles. It may be shrunk with heat guns, oven, etc. Comes in 6 inch lengths, quantity of 23.

Solid brass knobs with set screws. These circular knobs are a vintage radio style used on many amplifiers such as the Blonde / Brown era of Fender®. They feature a plated brass construction with an infilled indicator line and a vertical knurl for grip. They also feature a counterbore which allows the knobs to hide pot bushings for a clean look. The BAT41 is a schottky diode used in many DIY projects. General purpose metal to silicon diode featuring very low turn-on voltage and fast switching. This device has integrated protection against excessive voltage such as electrostatic discharges.

This PCB is a recreation of the iss. 1 circuit board found in classic Fuzz Face pedals. When drawing the layout, multiple originals were closely referenced to ensure a proper match and fit. The copper traces are gold plated providing protection from corrosion indefinitely. This classic board fits the mounting holes on both original and reproduction Fuzz Face enclosures. There are numerous great parts choices available for this PCB.
