2N404 PNP germanium transistors. The 2N404 is used in many fuzz pedals along with other effects. This transistor is in a TO-5 package with long leads commonly found on germanium transistors. For a higher voltage version of this transistor, see P-Q2N404A.

Plastic wing knobs with set screws and brass insert. These knobs are a close match for the classic knobs used on Marconi radios and Neve consoles. They feature an inlay indicator line. The grip diameter is 0.693 inches with a 1 inch clear skirt. Fits ¼” (6.35mm) pot shafts.

Black dust cover for use with 16mm or 24mm potentiometers. High quality vactrols from Xvive. The Xvive vactrols are clones of the original Excelitas / Perkins-Elmer vactrols used in many effects pedals, synthesizers, compressors and other equipment. These vactrols feature a thick epoxy sealed casing. The VTL5C3 and VTL5C3/2 both have a steep slope, good dynamic range, a very low temperature coefficient of resistance, and a small light history memory.

The BC183L is a general purpose NPN transistor in a TO-92 case. The BC183L is commonly used in fuzz pedals and has a reputation as a warm sounding silicon transistor for fuzz. Large vintage style skirted pointer knob. This knob is styled after the RCA “fester” knobs found on countless vintage electronics. The knobs feature a hex set screw, and fit ¼" solid shaft potentiometers.
