The JJ Electronic EL84 is a solidly built EL84 / 6BQ5 with excellent tonal qualities. JJ’s rugged construction of this tube offers high reliability without any compromise to the sound. This tube has solid lows with warm bright mids and shimmery highs. When saturated the harmonics are rich and dynamic. The JJ EL84 nails the classic sound of this tube. This tube can replace any EL84 or 6BQ5 tube.

A complete re-tube using JJ EL84's and 12AX7's in my Stage Right by Monoprice 15 watt amp completely restored the amp's volume and greatly improved the tone.
A friend recommended JJ tubes for my Bugera T5. I couldn't be happier. A bright sound with just enough gain.
Good solid tube that will certainly get the job done. I find they cant take the heat over time. If you really want to bring a CL30 to life and not worry about replacing every 3-4 months, go with the EH version.
JJ tubes are by far the best value on the market and they have been for some time now as far as I am concerned...and with the additional expertise of antique electronics and there Apex matching process you will be hard pressed to find anything better...just give them a try
They are really matched. I set bias for individual tubes and made them run at the same current. After couple days burned in, I rechecked, currents of each tube are still in sync, although the current increased a little bit due to burning in process. PS: the tubes were fixed biased
