No, electroplating compound is generally not used to repair contacts. We do offer a circuit writer pen that is designed to repair broken traces etc. You can search SKU # S-CCW100P to find that.

If an electrical contact was originally silver plated it can be replated by removing it from the connector or switch and replated individually. You don't want to get any of the electroplating compound on the insulation.

Set your current anywhere from 3-6 volts. Attach positive lead to the brush and connect the negative lead to the part being plated.

The object to be plated needs to be electrically conductive so it will not work on plastics.
